Phytochemical and biological investigation of Litophyton arboreum
نویسندگان
چکیده
Three known compounds including, uracil (1), 5-methyl (2) and uridine (3) have been isolated from the soft coral Litophyton arboreum collected red sea. The were identified using spectroscopic techniques predominately 1H-NMR 13C-NMR analyses, in addition to HR-ESI-MS. Moreover, 1-3 vitro estimated for their cytotoxic activity against three human cancer cell lines (A549, MCF-7 HepG2), antileishmanial potential Leishmania major.

متن کاملPhytochemical and biological investigation of Aristolochia maurorum L.
Aristolochia maurorum L. of Jordanian origin has been investigated phytochemically, quantitatively, and biologically. Three atypical alkaloids, namely aristolochic acid I (1), aristolochic acid II (2) and aristolochic acid IIIa (3), have been isolated and identified. Of these known 1-phenanthrenecarboxylic acids, 2 and 3 are reported for the first time from this species. The identified compound...

Amaryllidaceae is a well-known family for its high alkaloidal content. These alkaloids comprise a unique group of bases that have been found to occur in this family. The Amaryllidaceae alkaloids represent a large and still expanding group of isoquinoline alkaloids, the majority of which are not known to occur in any other family of plants This article reports on the phytochemical investigation ...
